Learn the complexities of aircraft maintenance with an advanced specialization in the repair and overhaul of airframe structures in this multidisciplinary program. Receive theoretical and practical training on fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Learn to troubleshoot vital aircraft components and systems including the engine, hydraulics and landing gear. Intensive structures training in the third year includes: damage inspection and evaluation, manufacturing and repair techniques, and advanced fitting and assembly procedures.

Note: This program has been designed to enable students to enhance their education and build upon their aircraft maintenance skills with an additional specification in Avionics. The first two years of the program are common with the Aircraft Technician – Aircraft Maintenance program. Transfer opportunities exist for graduates of a Transport Canada Accredited School who have met the applicable requirements of STD566.10

Successful completion of this program will result in 24 months accreditation toward an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Category M Licence. This is the first program of its kind in Ontario and first in Canada to be eligible for the full 24 month accreditation granted by Transport Canada.
