UMAP
Founded in 1991, UMAP is a voluntary association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education sector. The general aim of UMAP is for the countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve a better understanding of the cultural, economic, and social systems of the other countries and territories in the region through enhanced cooperation among higher education institutions and increased mobility of university students and staff. Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship
Canadore College was awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship (QES), recognizing its commitment to fostering global engagement and supporting student success. Canadore College is proud to partner with World University Service of Canada (WUSC), a national organization dedicated to improving access to education and opportunity for young people around the world. Through WUSC, Canadore College participates in the Student Refugee Program (SRP) that combines refugee resettlement with post-secondary education.
At Canadore College, the WUSC partnership includes:
- Hosting sponsored refugee students through the Student Refugee Program
- Providing academic, financial and settlement support
- Engagement through a local WUSC Local Committee comprised of students, staff, alumni and faculty
