Welcome to Canadore’s International Academic Support Hub! The Hub helps international students succeed academically by providing clear guidance, practical academic skills support, and connections to other college services.
We support individual students, small groups, and entire classes. Our goal is to help students feel confident, prepared, and supported throughout their academic journey.
How We Help Students
Students can receive support with:
- English grammar, reading, and listening skills
- Writing skills and APA formatting
- Speaking skills and academic presentations
- Preparation for IELTS and CELPIP
- Academic adjustment and study strategies
- Information and referrals to other student supports and services at Canadore College
Workshops and Individual Support
The Hub offers:
- Face-to-face and virtual workshops on grammar, writing, critical thinking, and APA citation
- One-on-one academic support with experienced English instructors
- A welcoming space to ask questions, practice skills, and build confidence

Join The Conversation Club!
Conversation Club brings together students from both Canadore College and Nipissing University to:
- Practice speaking in a relaxed environment
- Discuss student-chosen topics
- Make friends and build communication skills
- Prepare for IELTS and CELPIP speaking tests
- Meet exciting guest speakers from our own and other communities
Conversation Club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30–6:00 pm. Snacks and beverages are provided by Canadore International and Nipissing Student Learning.

This welcoming and colourful space includes shared computers, comfortable areas for individual and group study, and free tea, coffee, and snacks provided by Canadore International.
