Backyard Chicken Keeping

Keeping chickens is both practical and rewarding, connecting us to food, routine, and the rhythms of daily care. This welcoming, hands-on workshop introduces the essentials of raising backyard chickens. Together, we will explore common breeds, feeding practices, coop considerations, basic health awareness, and the realities of protecting a flock from predators.

Intro to Wood Burning

Wood burning, or pyrography, is a simple yet captivating art form that transforms wood through line, shade, and patience. In this hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the foundational techniques of drawing with heat. Together, we will explore basic tools, safe handling practices, and the expressive possibilities of mark-making on wood.

Simple Sourdough

Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026
Time: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Sourdough baking invites us into a slower, more attentive way of working with food. In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, participants will be guided through the full process of making sourdough bread, from understanding a starter to mixing, shaping, and baking a loaf. sourdough bread, baking from start to finish.
