"The year I took my apprenticeship at Canadore College was the best year of schooling of my life! Its amazing to learn about something that you have a lot of passion for. The professors Chef Derek Lawday and Chef Fintan Flynn took my under their wing and gave me all the necessary tools to succeed. After I graduated I wrote my red seal and passed with a great score! I attribute a lot of my success to the training I was given at Canadore. Now I am the Kitchen Coordinator of The Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay! I absolutely love being a chef and teaching my volunteers. Its to the point now that I can’t believe I get paid to do what I love!"
