Start an exciting career in the rapidly growing digital visual effects industry. Create dynamic and realistic visual effects for use in film, television, games, and architectural visualization. Learn to produce a concept sketch and storyboard, shape a model, stage a scene and represent movements in three dimensions. Gain professional skills through a practical, hands on approach in labs that are outfitted with the latest tools and industry-standard software with training focused on major trends in visual, digital, and special effects arts.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older). English Grade 12 or equivalent (minimum grade required)

Applicants will also require:

  • 3 Digital art pieces (3D sculptures/models, character concepts, video editing, photography and graphic design) 
  • 1 Interior perspective drawing
  • 1 Shaded hand drawing

If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency. You must have a minimum overall band score of 5.5 on the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or equivalent accepted English language proficiency test to be admitted to a postsecondary program at the college. Notwithstanding the above, the English proficiency standards required to obtain Study Permits and Temporary Resident Visas from Canadian Embassies vary around the world. The higher English language proficiency standard will apply.
