As part of The Village health and wellness hub, the innovative genomics laboratory is equipped with some of the most leading-edge technology available in Canada.  The lab includes two DNA sequencers that will create the capacity for research in areas such as pharmacology, addictions, and surgical implants to better understand and prevent diseases.  The Lab will allow Canadore to enhance current biotechnology programs, develop new curricula for a postsecondary program in genomics, and create professional development courses in functional genomics testing aimed at physicians and advanced healthcare providers.
