Internal Student – currently studying at Canadore College

If you have previously attended or are currently enrolled in a program at Canadore College and would like to continue your studies at Canadore, you must complete the online Internal Application form.

Students must meet the minimum admission requirements for the new program as found on the program pages. It is the student’s responsibility to verify their eligibility. You can contact the Admissions Office for more information.

Students are encouraged to apply before the equal consideration dates for the applicable program. Forms processed on or before this date will be given equal consideration for admission. After this date, forms are still processed, but are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

  1. Complete the Online Internal Application Form
  2. Offers are sent out via email and through mail
  3. Confirm your offer by calling 705.474.7600 ext. 5123 or email admissions@canadorecollege.ca

Step One

Determine what program(s) you are interested in. In general, Canadore requires a senior level of education from your country.

Step Two

Many programs have specific admission requirements, such as math or physics. These requirements are found in the program descriptions. To be considered for acceptance by the college, you must send a translated copy of your transcript with your application, showing that you have the program specific admission requirements.

Step Three

If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency. You must have a minimum overall band score of 5.5 on the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or equivalent accepted English language proficiency test to be admitted to a postsecondary program at the college. Notwithstanding the above, the English proficiency standards required to obtain Study Permits and Temporary Resident Visas from Canadian Embassies vary around the world. The higher English language proficiency standard will apply.

Step Four

Complete and email the  International Student Application Form to Canadore College with certified copies of your certificates, diplomas, transcripts, TOEFL or IELTS scores to  international@canadorecollege.ca

Step Five

When you are accepted into the program you have chosen, Canadore College will send you a letter of acceptance and an International Student Acceptance Information form in a format recognized by Canadian Immigration. This letter is required by the Canadian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate in your country when you apply for a study permit to study in Canada.

Step Six

Upon receipt of your deposit the College will reserve a seat in your chosen program. The tuition deposit is part of the total tuition cost. The receipt for this deposit will be required by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

You can apply any time, but it is a good idea to complete your application form in advance of the equal consideration dates (February 1 and October 1) to secure your spot.
