AI for Business Analysis
7 weeks – Course
Overview
Students explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming business analysis, from automating reports to supporting data-driven decision-making. Through hands-on activities, students examine the evolving role of the analyst in applying AI tools to generate insights, build models, and make strategic recommendations.
Topics include the evolution of business analysis with AI, identifying data sources, decision support systems, automation, predictive modelling, and performance improvement. Students gain foundational skills in prompt engineering, experiment with large language models, and explore agent development.
Learning is supported through case studies, real-world business challenges, collaborative work, and applied projects. The course culminates in a capstone where students use AI tools to address a complex business problem or identify opportunities for innovation.
By combining technical skills with strategic thinking, students develop a practical understanding of how AI enhances core business functions and reshapes the role of the business analyst.

Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes
Learning outcomes represent culminating demonstrations of learning and achievement. In addition, learning outcomes are interrelated and cannot be viewed in isolation of one another. As such, they should be viewed as a comprehensive whole. They describe performances that demonstrate that significant integrated learning by graduates of the program has been achieved.
