Overview
Learn to build and maintain a website using WordPress, the most used Content Management System (CMS) in the world. Students will understand and apply web design principles that will support their ability to service small and medium sized business clients. Select the best hosting solution and domain name for a website. Evaluate, recommend and apply themes, plugins, widgets, content architecture, user experience and other solutions. Analyze client needs and apply appropriate solutions within a WordPress environment. Understand the basic concepts of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). Implement security and backup strategies and learn how to use WordPress as a complete e-commerce platform.

You may enroll in a Continuing Education course at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
