If you’re a student age 15-29, you can get up to $3,000 and hands-on coaching and mentoring to start and run your own business through the Business Centre of Nipissing Parry Sound’s Summer Company program. If you’re between 18-29, already running a business, and not enrolled in full time education, you could be eligible to join the Starter Company program and receive a grant of up to $5,000, mentorship and support. The Mentorship Program is a customized program that seeks industry experts and business owners to act as mentors to newer entrepreneurs. Through peer-to-peer learning, mentors provide experience-based knowledge that allows the mentees to avoid time consuming obstacles while expediting the development of their business. Mentees will have at least one year of business experience and will be looking to expand their business, increase profits and efficiency, focus their marketing efforts, and expand their professional network while building lasting relationships.

IION Youth Entrepreneurial Placement Program (YEPP)
IION-YEPP is a paid internship program involving experiential learning for high potential youth (18-29) interested in innovation and entrepreneurship.
YEPP will carefully select and match youth with Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) that also embody the entrepreneurial innovative spirit. Youth participating in this program will go through a concentrated entrepreneurship experience involving guided and structured skill building exercises. SMEs will receive funding to hire qualified workers for up to 16 weeks, nurturing and building youth entrepreneurial capacity while increasing the SMEs ability to innovate and commercialize.
