IP Development and Commercialization Success

Canadore College is a partner to our local industry and community service providers by providing linkages and expertise in supporting IP and commercialization aspects.  We do this by linking out to the variety of programs situated within the partner’s community and to network engines that are appropriate. This can support the partner along the commercialization pathway and IP continuum more fully and advancing the technology readiness level of the prototype or business they are developing. In its own development, Canadore is bettering this support in the past year by revising its Intellectual Property policy and developing internal resources to educate our students, staff, and faculty on the IP and commercialization continuum. Additionally, the Research Centre has taken a lead in the starting discussions of a fully developed and transparent pathway for community and industry partners in solidifying their own IP requirements.
