Third-Party EdTech

Third-party EdTech are EdTech tools that are not owned or subscribed to by Canadore. The College strongly recommends that faculty use College owned or subscribed to EdTech for instruction whenever possible. This said, there are many useful third-party EdTech tools for instruction on the market like the ones listed in the curated list below. Follow these best practices to use them:

  • Adhere to College Privacy Protection and Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities policies
  • Use for formative assessment only
  • Provide students a link to the third-party EdTech privacy policies
  • Provide an alternative means to participate in class activities for students who do not wish to use a third-party EdTech tool not supported by the College
  • Reach out to ACE or complete an Online Request Form in iCAN to determine if use is okay for any third-party EdTech tool not listed

Note: The College does not provide support for the use of third-party EdTech. Reach out to the respective third-party EdTech companies for usage assistance.
