This space lists and describes the EdTech tools and multimedia (audiovisual) resources available for use by faculty to create content, deliver activities and assessments, and provide instruction at Canadore. It explains how to access the tools and resources along with the training and supports to use them.

EdTech Hardware

Canadore provides and supports the use of EdTech hardware or multimedia (audiovisual) tools for instructional use. These tools are managed by Educational Technology Services (ETS). ETS designs, installs, and is responsible for the operational integrity of the College’s technology. They provide multimedia equipment, training and support faculty to develop and deliver learning content in-person, online, or through a blend of both using the College’s EdTech hardware.

Third-Party EdTech

Third-party EdTech tools are ones that are not owned or subscribed to by Canadore. The College strongly recommends that faculty use College owned or subscribed to EdTech for instruction whenever possible. This said, there are many useful third-party EdTech tools for instruction on the market.

Active Learning Classroom

Active Learning Classrooms (ALC) are purpose-built spaces to facilitate active and collaborative learning activities. Canadore's ALC is in C307 at College Drive. Here’s an introductory video demonstrating some of the features and their uses.
