The following policies and guidelines apply to the use of EdTech at Canadore.
EdTech - What's Available?
EdTech Software
Learn about the EdTech software/platforms Canadore supports for content creation, instruction, and assessment.
EdTech Hardware
Canadore provides and supports instructional EdTech hardware and audiovisual tools. These tools are managed by Educational Technology Services (ETS), which designs, installs, and maintains the College’s technology.
ETS provides multimedia equipment, training, and support to help faculty develop and deliver learning content in person, online, or in blended formats.
Third-Party EdTech
Third-party EdTech tools are not owned or subscribed to by Canadore. Whenever possible, faculty are strongly encouraged to use College-owned or subscribed EdTech tools for instruction.
Many third-party EdTech tools are also available and may be useful for teaching and learning.
Active Learning Classroom
Active Learning Classrooms (ALCs) are purpose-built spaces designed to support active and collaborative learning. Canadore’s ALC is located in C307 at College Drive.
