iLearn Support Sessions

New Faculty Orientation & Intro to iLearn
New Faculty Orientation (NFO) and Intro to iLearn introduce new faculty to Canadore’s teaching and learning practices, EdTech tools, and resources. NFO and Intro to iLearn are offered at the beginning of each semester. Upon hire, new faculty receive registration information to attend NFO and Intro to iLearn.

Faculty Peer Group
The Faculty Peer Group is a collaborative space for faculty to share teaching experiences, discuss challenges, and explore innovative methods. By connecting educators across disciplines, the group aims explore effective teaching methods, consider their relevance to one’s own practice, and foster a community of educators committed to continuous improvement.

Faculty Professional Development Certificate Program
The Faculty Professional Development Certificate Program (also known as Facilitating Learning in Higher Education or FLH) is currently under redevelopment. It will be available for faculty to register and complete in the near future.
Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Fund
The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Fund supports faculty in developing SoTL projects at Canadore. It offers funding for up to four projects per academic year and intends to support expenses like course release, student research assistants, materials, and travel. This fund fosters evidence-based approaches to teaching to help our educators enhance student learning experiences.
