EdTech - What's available
Learn more about the EdTech software/platforms Canadore supports to create content, deliver activities and assessments, and provide instruction at the College.
Canadore provides and supports the use of EdTech hardware or multimedia (audiovisual) tools for instructional use. These tools are managed by Educational Technology Services (ETS). ETS designs, installs, and is responsible for the operational integrity of the College’s technology. They provide multimedia equipment, training and support faculty to develop and deliver learning content in-person, online, or through a blend of both using the College’s EdTech hardware.
Third-party EdTech tools are ones that are not owned or subscribed to by Canadore. The College strongly recommends that faculty use College owned or subscribed to EdTech for instruction whenever possible. This said, there are many useful third-party EdTech tools for instruction on the market.
Active Learning Classroom
Active Learning Classrooms (ALC) are purpose-built spaces to facilitate active and collaborative learning activities. Canadore's ALC is in C307 at College Drive. Here’s an introductory video demonstrating some of the features and their uses.
