Develop and enhance your English language skills in this intermediate level intensive language training. This two-semester program focuses on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills required to strengthen your English language communication. Canadore provides quality English language training in a caring and supportive environment using modern and social technologies.
Please note: Credential awarded is a 1 Year Canadore College Certificate – English as a Second Language. Canadian residents should apply to Canadore's English for Academic Purposes program.
Students start at a level determined by a placement test (CLBPT) administered in-house or an internationally recognized English language test such as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Admissions Requirements
Admissions Requirements
International students must either a) provide a IELTS or equivalent score for placement purposes in the appropriate program or b) complete a placement test at the start of the semester to identify the appropriate program to be placed in. Domestic students will complete a placement test the start of the semester.
If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency.

Check out the Campus Bookstore to not only purchase your textbooks but also view your book list before the semester starts.
Students may also purchase textbooks from a source of their choice, but the ISBN (numbers on bar code on the back of textbook) and the ISBN on your booklist must be the same
