Canadore College Welcomes Prospective Students for Campus Tours

Feb 4, 2022 | Cindy Males, Public Relations and Communications Specialist

Canadore College is opening its doors to prospective students once again as the provincial COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.  Canadore recruiters will be providing in-person campus tours at the College Drive, Commerce Court and Aviation campuses in North Bay, as well as at the West Parry Sound Campus.

“The recruitment team is thrilled to be sharing Canadore’s campuses again with prospective students, parents, and visitors. Our in-person tours allow us to connect with students on a deeper level, where we can tailor the tour to their interests”, said Josh Willard, Manager of Marketing and Recruitment. “We have some incredible spaces, and being here in person allows students to imagine themselves on campus while getting a look at classrooms and labs.”

Campus tours also allow prospective students and their parents the chance to connect with faculty, to ask questions, and to get information about programs, admissions, financial aid, and student success supports.

Life is returning to all of Canadore’s campuses, and there is much new to see. The College has made investments in the latest technology, classrooms have been renovated to accommodate in-person and remote learning, and campus greening initiatives, including landscaping and planting new trees, are ongoing.

“The Canadore Experience relies on interaction with amazing people -- our employees who make Canadore what it is,” said Shawn Chorney, Vice President Strategic Infrastructure, Indigenous and Learner Services. “The ability of learners and their families to interact with the team at Canadore, in their incredible program and service delivery environments, really sets the college apart.”

“We are a community asset that takes great pride in our relationship with the region, and we look forward to welcoming more and more people back to their college,” said Chorney.
