Canadore College will open its doors “virtually” to prospective students and their families this Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“We look forward to meeting our students and their families virtually,” said Josh Willard, Manager of Marketing and Recruitment. “You can expect to connect with Canadore faculty, support staff and administrators who will answer all of your questions and concerns in an accessible and supportive environment.”

The Virtual Open House will allow students and parents to visit all four campuses – Aviation, Commerce Court, and College Drive in North Bay, and West Parry Sound - through a full set of virtual tours.  Students will be able to ask questions and get information about programs, admissions, financial aid, and student success supports.

Canadore College is adding to its more than 80 full-time quality programs with two new degrees.  The Bachelor of Science – Nursing and the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Management degree programs will launch in September.  The Entrepreneurship Academy will open its doors too, offering programming for students looking to be their own boss.

“Canadore College has added new programs and services this year, and we have invested millions of dollars to improve our campus environments, labs, and classrooms over the last five years,” said Shawn Chorney, Vice President Strategic Infrastructure, Indigenous and Learner Services.  “Our investment in the College, when coupled with our incredible faculty, technicians and services teams, translates into a post-secondary college experience that is second to none.”

“Canadore graduates are work ready as evidenced by our 100% employer satisfaction rate last year, and we will support the learning journey of every learner regardless of what stage they are at in pursuing their dream career,” said Chorney.

“While Canadore’s Open House is virtual this spring, students are welcome to explore the campuses in person,” said Willard.  “Students are invited to come to campus for a personalized tour at a time that is convenient for them.  You can book a tour anytime, even during our Virtual Open House. We look forward to seeing you on campus!”

Students who register at www.canadorecollege.ca/openhouse are eligible to win either the Ultimate Student Starter Pack, which includes a MacBook Pro, an iPad or an Apple watch.
