Student Orientation & Welcome Events - Winter 2026

What is Welcome HOME?

  • At Canadore, students come from across Canada and around the world to pursue their education—and while you're here, we want you to feel at home. Welcome Home is more than just an orientation, it's your gateway to the Canadore community through a mix of virtual and in-person sessions, you’ll have the chance to explore the supports and services available to you, connect with fellow students, and start building your own personalized orientation experience.

Check back here often for updates and upcoming activities designed to help you settle in, feel supported, and make meaningful connections before classes even begin. Welcome to your home away from home. Welcome to Canadore.

  • If you have any questions about Canadore's Welcome HOME Orientation Experience please contact us at orientation.support@canadorecollege.ca

  • Meet the Student Orientation Leaders

Jayde Yerkie and Sarvjot Singh will be your Canadore Guides, helping as you navigate your journey to Canadore. They will be hosting many of our virtual sessions. You will have many opportunities to connect with them, but they wanted to share their “Welcome HOME” moment at Canadore.

“Canadore felt like home the moment I began working on-campus. Working on campus provided me with opportunities to make meaningful connections and be a part of something bigger than myself. Having countless possibilities to support and guide students while practicing my skills truly made me feel a sense of belonging and shaped my Canadore experience” Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction
