Canadore College takes additional steps in response to COVID-19 situation

Mar 14, 2020 | Cindy Males, Public Relations and Communications Specialist

Canadore College is cancelling all physical classes for the week of March16 to 20, 2020.  This break will allow us to further evaluate the situation and provide each program area time to develop updated academic plans for the completion of their program requirements.

While our environment remains safe, Canadore is taking this additional measure as a further effort to bend the infection curve and lessen the possibility of virus transmission.

On-site labs, clinical, simulation, and on-campus agency placements are also suspended next week until further instruction is provided.  Students with questions can contact their college placement or program coordinator.  Some placements have already been suspended, placement coordinators or program managers will be providing additional instruction as to alternate requirements by the end of the week.

Adult upgrading, apprenticeship and dual credit classes at Canadore are also cancelled.

Canadore College remains operational and employees are expected to report to work.

Students will be contacted to let them know how the remainder of their semester will be managed, as soon as possible.

Canadore has cancelled social events and large gatherings effective immediately, until April 30, 2020.
