Canadore College to Host Virtual Fall Open House

Prospective Canadore students can tour the College from the comfort of their own homes. The business of college recruiting has gone virtual for the second year, and Canadore is inviting students and their families to attend the Fall Open House virtually, on Saturday, November 6, 2021.
The Virtual Open House will allow prospective students and parents to connect with Canadore College through a full suite of virtual tours, and students will be able to ask questions and get information about programs, admissions, financial aid, and student success supports.
“We can’t wait to virtually meet our prospective students and to showcase our Canadore spirit,” said Josh Willard, Canadore’s Manager of Marketing and Recruitment. “Students and their families can expect to connect with faculty, support staff and administrators via Zoom and have all of their questions answered.”
For the second year in a row, Canadore has hosted its open houses virtually, featuring over 80 programs, and Willard says the previous events have gone very well, with a lot of engagement and participation.
“Our Virtual Open House is an opportunity to explore our four campus communities in North Bay and Parry Sound. It’s also a chance to chat with our professors and student services in a supportive and accessible way,” said Willard. “Students and their parents will be invited to connect with Canadore’s Recruitment Team to set up an in-person tour.”
Students who register at www.canadorecollege.ca/joinus are eligible to win prizes including a MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse 2 and a pair of AirPods Pro; a $1000 tuition credit; and a $500 tuition credit.
“The Canadore College Virtual Open House celebrates the incredible faculty, program teams, facilities and experiences that are a reality for Canadore students,” said Shawn Chorney, Vice-President Strategic Infrastructure, Indigenous and Learner Services. “We are looking forward to this virtual event and invite potential students and their families to reach out to us to book their personalized, in-person tours now that we are resuming additional campus activities. Canadore is committed to student success and development and we know that, once learners meet our team, they will be convinced to join the Canadore community.”
