Canadore Panthers Spreading ‘Hauliday’ Spirit

Dec 6, 2018 | Canadore College

(NORTH BAY, ONT.) – The Canadore Panthers men’s varsity volleyball team is partnering with Mike & Lori’s No Frills to collect food for a special Christmas dinner at the Gathering Place North Bay.

Every year, the Gathering Place serves holiday dinner to its clients. This year, it is the team’s goal is to fill an entire vehicle full of food donations to supply the resources for the meal.

“It’s really important to keep community involvement at the forefront of our efforts,” said Mark Hopper, head coach of the Panthers men’s volleyball team. “If we can help local families enjoy a Christmas dinner by hauling some food, there’s nothing else we would rather be doing this Saturday afternoon.”

Shoppers can easily find suitable food items for the dinner by looking for displays with logos from Mike & Lori’s, the Gathering Place and Canadore College Panthers. For every item gifted, Mike & Lori’s will match the donation.
