On March 26th, Canadore College is proud to present the ‘WE Can Be Kind’ week of kindness. In partnership with the WE Program, the week of kindness will be running until March 29th, and will be an opportunity to spread kindness and positivity throughout Canadore’s campuses.
It begins on Monday March 26th, with free hugs at the College Drive campus and and “Random Acts of Kindness” Tracking bracelets that will be handed out at the weekly Dog Therapy event at Commerce Court’s campus.
The rest of the week’s events are as follows:
- Tuesday March 27th – Kindness Challenge Cards will be available at the Red Tiles at College Drive’s campus & Commerce Court’s campus.
- Wednesday March 28th – “Random Acts of Kindness” Tracking bracelets will be handed out at the dog therapy event at College Drive’s campus.
- Thursday March 29th – “Silent Kindness” begins at all of Canadore’s campuses, and that includes positive messages being written on the whiteboards in the classrooms around Canadore.
Throughout the week, there will be a food drive at all of the campuses, there will be an interactive Facebook page for students to share their completed random acts of kindness, and the Facebook page will also be where students will be able to track the bracelets that are to be handed out.
The week of kindness is to eradicate discrimination and negativity in Canadore’s community, and to help make Canadore even more of a kinder and welcoming atmosphere. Kindness is easy to achieve and promote, and have a lasting impact on someone’s life.
“Our change begins with ME; Kindness spreads to WE.”
