Canadore’s “Warm Their Soles” a success!

Canadore’s “Warm Their Soles” initiative exceeded its goal of collecting 1000 pairs of new socks to donate to homeless shelters. The campaign, which ended February 21, gathered more than 1200 pairs.
Canadore accepted a challenge from Loyalist College to collect as many socks as possible, and thanks to the generosity of many people, the response was better than anticipated. The collection was part of a national challenge, “20K Sock Day”, a charity initiative by WE BE US, a program that focusses on donating clean, dry clothing to homeless people.
The socks collected in North Bay will be distributed to the Nipissing Transition House, The North Bay Crisis Centre and the Gathering Place, this week.
