“As a graduate of the Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention program at Canadore, I developed a deeper understanding of Indigenous wellness, culture, and community. Today, as Indigenous Cultural Preservation Project Coordinator with the Parry Sound Friendship Centre, I focus on capturing and preserving the knowledge and stories of Elders, supporting language revitalization, and advancing truth and reconciliation work within our communities."

Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention Graduate 2026

The program helped me weave my culture with main stream knowledge, much like the weaving of a traditional ash basket. Traditional holistic teachings strengthened my emotional, mental, physical and spiritual being to enable me to be an awesome helper in the field of addictions. My Canadore experience was life changing fin a positive healthy way.
