Number of Guests

Graduates are permitted to invite three (3) guests to the ceremony. While we do not, at this time, issue tickets, we ask that graduates adhere to the 3-guest maximum to ensure adequate seating for all family and friends.

Seating is first come-first served.  Doors will open one hour prior to the scheduled start-time and we recommend guests arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Virtual Streaming

Most ceremonies will be streamed virtually to allow graduates, family, and friends, who were unable to attend in-person to watch the ceremony at their own convenience.  Links will be posted on the website during convocation week.

Our facilities are wheelchair and walker accessible. Accessible parking is also available that is close the ceremony location.

Signage regarding washrooms, elevators, and parking will be posted at the event.

If you have accommodation requirements, please email prior to the day of the ceremony.

The ceremony typically lasts approximately two hours.  If you choose to bring children to the event, please ensure they are supervised by an adult in the audience.

With the exception of bottled water, we ask that food and drinks not be brought into the ceremony.  There will be a reception following the ceremony where light refreshments will be served.

Graduates and guests are expected to remain seated in the ceremony until the end, to avoid disruption and demonstrate respect for all graduates.

Guests are encouraged to take photographs during the ceremony and will be notified of the photo-taking procedure and designated area at the beginning of each ceremony.  Please do not go to the photo area until you see your graduate standing and ready to cross the stage to avoid congestion in the area and allow all guests an opportunity to take that perfect picture!

Flowers, gifts, and diploma frames

Flowers will be available for purchase at most convocation ceremonies. There will also be a selection of diploma frames, clothing, and other gifts available for purchase.
