Canadore College has an extensive financial assistance program offered to both full-time and part-time students, with approximately $1.7 million in scholarships and bursaries being awarded annually.

Along with support from our Financial Aid department, paying for your college education is within reach!

Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards

Canadore has many scholarships, bursaries and awards available to students, based on merit and financial need.

Entrance Awards are open to all first year students who are residents of Ontario and are currently enrolled in a full-time program at any of Canadore College’s campuses. Entrance awards are available online between May 1 – August 31.

Bursaries are awarded on the basis of financial need and/or satisfactory academic progress. To be considered for a bursary, eligible students must submit a detailed “Online Bursary Application” between October 1 –31.

Scholarship are awarded based on a combination of academic excellence, attendance, and overall contribution to the classroom. Applications are available between November 1 – and the last day of the semester in December and recipients are notified by email in March.

External Awards also provide assistance to our students from outside businesses and organizations. Students are encouraged to check this section regularly and to apply for these external awards, scholarships and/or bursaries. Note: Application procedures and deadlines are specific to each one of these awards.

OSAP - Ontario Student Assistant Program

Students eligible for OSAP assistance should refer to osap.gov.on.ca in order to complete an application form. Financial assistance is provided to students through the provincial and federal governments for residents of Ontario.

Financial Aid Student Complaint 

If a student is dissatisfied with the service in the Financial Aid office or a staff member, the student is encouraged to meet with that staff member and seek a resolution.

If the issue cannot be resolved between the student and the Financial Aid staff member, the student will be referred to the Registrar.

If the student is not content with the Manager’s recommendations, the student may meet with the Vice President Student Services, Enrolment Management and Recruitment.
