External organizations also provide assistance to our students. Students are encouraged to apply for these external awards, scholarships and/or bursaries. Application procedures and deadlines are specific to each one of these awards, so please confirm these details prior to applying.

Allied Van Lines Canada Scholarship 

At Allied Van Lines, we are committed to improving the future of up and coming logistics and business professionals across Canada and North America.We are proud to be offering qualifying Canadian students and chance to apply for our new scholarship, which is intended for students across the areas of business, logistics, and similar fields. Chaney-Ensign Bursary Fund

The Chaney-Ensign Bursary Fund provides educational bursaries to students who demonstrate serious financial need and who have completed their high school requirements in publicly-funded secondary schools located in the City of Hamilton. Students must be in attendance at an approved college or university in Canada or, for specialized programs, in the United States. If warranted by continuing need and satisfactory progress, the award may be repeated in subsequent years. This bursary fund is generally intended to assist students enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies, although part-time or postgraduate studies may be considered.

CouponBirds "Help to Save" Scholarship

CouponBirds has launched the "Help to Save" scholarship for high school and college students who need help with their tuition fees. Firstly, this program requires the participants to upload a 2-3 minute video (no longer than 5 minutes). Secondly, participants are required to post on Twitter or Facebook with information related to saving money with CouponBirds SmartCoupon Extension. Individuals with the best idea and response will be selected to give a presentation at our site, last but not least, the person with the most creative idea will win the grand prize.

Indspire Awards

Indspire disburses bursaries and scholarships through its Building Brighter Futures program to Indigenous students who are enrolled in post-secondary programs. Since 1985, Indspire has disbursed bursaries and scholarships to First Nation, Inuit, and Métis post-secondary students. It is the largest funder for Indigenous education outside of the federal government.

National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) Financial Aid Portal

The National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) is pleased to announce the availability of its new financial aid portal for students with disabilities: www.DisabilityAwards.ca.

With the support of the Canada Student Loan Program and the Office for Disability Issues, NEADS has developed a site containing over 300 scholarships, awards and bursaries specifically for post-secondary students with disabilities.

Parts Canada Trans Can Entrance Awards

Awarded to a student entering Canadore College in his or her first year of a Skilled Trades program, who participated in or attended that year’s Parts Canada Trans Can at Walton Raceway. Value $1,000.00

S.M.A.R.T. Scholarship

S.W.I.M.’s unique scholarship program provides financial assistance to single mothers wishing to further their education in a post-secondary academic program.

Each year, a single mother is awarded the Strong Mothers Achieving Remarkable Triumph (S.M.A.R.T.) Scholarship, and is provided with the opportunity to better her own and her child/children’s lives.
